Despite having a newly designed and optimized website, Stan’s Exchange, a popular thrift and used furniture business in Edmonton, had trouble being seen on Google’s search engine results pages (SERPs). They struggled to draw in local customers who were actively looking for used clothing and furniture online since they had no track record of ranking well, had little keyword targeting, and were up against fierce competition from other thrift businesses in Edmonton.
Approach
The SEO strategy included keyword research for terms like “best thrift store in Edmonton,” content creation around sustainable shopping topics, and technical improvements to boost the thrift store’s search visibility and performance.
Competitor’s Analysis
Analysis of Edmonton thrift stores revealed competitors lacked proper keyword optimization despite good rankings. We identified untapped long-tail keywords like “second-hand luxury fashion Edmonton” and positioned Stan’s Exchange as the premium used goods destination, creating new organic growth opportunities.
End Result
In order to find and target keywords with a high search volume but low to moderate competition, we created a data-driven SEO approach. The strategy integrated local SEO enhancements, enhanced on-page content, and thorough keyword analysis. With this strategy, we were able to swiftly increase search traffic while laying the groundwork for future ranking improvements.
